A New Chapter of Eshun Collection, Inspired by Motherhood
The Kairo Collection is an expansion of Eshun Collection that is especially close to my heart.
After welcoming my third son a little over a year ago, I found myself inspired by motherhood all over again — by the softness of this season, the things we surround our children with, and the pieces that quietly become part of their earliest memories.
That inspiration led me back to another form of creating I love: quilting.
Kairo grew from a desire to create something for our little ones that carries the same intention, craftsmanship, culture, and heritage at the heart of Eshun Collection. It is a natural extension of what I have always believed: what we create with our hands carries a story.

The Kairo Collection is a line of handcrafted children’s quilts inspired by African roots, Caribbean heritage, childhood, and home.
Each quilt pairs vibrant Ankara-inspired prints with coordinating solid fabrics in playful patchwork designs — bringing together color, pattern, warmth, and culture in pieces made especially for little ones.
They are quilts for snuggles and stories, afternoon naps, floor play, family adventures, and all the beautiful everyday moments of childhood.

Every Kairo quilt is individually handcrafted — from choosing and pairing the fabrics to piecing, quilting, and finishing each piece.
Just like Eshun jewelry, the beauty is in the handmade details.
No two handmade pieces will ever be exactly alike, and that is part of what makes them special. These aren't simply blankets. They are pieces created to be used, loved, lived with, and woven into a child's memories.

I wanted these quilts to feel joyful and playful while still carrying something deeper — a quiet reminder of where we come from, who we are, and the beauty we pass forward.
My hope is that a Kairo quilt becomes one of those childhood pieces that stays in the family long after a little one has outgrown it — carrying memories from one chapter into the next.
